Grzegorz Wasilewski was born in Głowno, Poland on January 7, 1960. He received M.Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in a field of Mechanics from the Technical University of Łódź in 1987 and 2009, respectively. Since 1987 he is employed in the Technical University of Łódź: until 1996 in the Institute of Paper Industry and Paper Machinery, since 1997 in the Department of Automatics and Biomechanics; actually Department of Automatics, Biomechanics and Mechatronics. Since 2009 he is employed as Assistant Professor. He completed doctoral studies in 'Mechanics' at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Lodz University of Technology and in 2009 obtained a PhD in technical sciences in the discipline of Mechanics on the basis of his doctoral thesis entitled: “Analysis and control of nonlinear dynamics of a double and triple physical pendulum”.
